Hello,

We are in the midst of a paradigm shift - or should I say - planning for one. We want to develop a plan moving forward for a cultural change within our organization and will be hosting an all employee meeting (250 ee)in a month. I have been asked to research material and some activities that would be useful to present to a large group talking about cultural change, being part of the change, how to communicate chane effort etc. Any ideas would be helpful.
Thanks

So many resources on corporate change management - it really depends on the specifics (is this about quality, customer service, an acquisition, new product launch, etc.). For a general take on change, read anything from Tom Peters, who is considered one of the great business communicators of our time. Great read, plenty of examples, data and case studies.

On the Go,

You can go to www.exploreHR.org - There you can find an excellent presentation slide on managing corporate transformation and cultural change. These slides comprehensively explore critical steps need to be undertaken to launch an effective cultural change process. Would be very helpful for you, I think.

I second that -- Leading Change by Kotter is an excellent guidebook. It summarizes 30 years of change experience giving you a step by step explanation of the change process. It should give you some ideas.

Good communications with all employees is critical. I would plan any communications carefully. Make sure the communications support what are you trying to do, and explain why you are taking these actions. Create a communications plan including what you will communicate and why and how frequently. And remember, the 3 principles of managing change successfully: Communicate, communicate, communicate. email me if you would like to discuss more.
