I just received approval to paint and decorate our training room. Any research done on different color walls affecting learning and performance? Any suggestions on colors and decorations? Thanks!

I was very intrigued by your question / concern.

I just learned in an artist class some basics about color that are so simple, but profound.

Warm Colors: Red, Orange, Yellow
Come forward, grab attention, seen first
Energize, stimulate, aggrevate

Cool Colors: Blue, Purple
recede, Fall to the Background, seen last.
Relaxing, calming

Neutrals: Green
Effect depends on what it is next to.
Adding yellow warms.
Adding blue cools.

So the color choice would indicate what you effect you are trying to reach.

You could also ask a feng shui expert about the effect of colors.

If you haven't painted the room yet, consider this information!

Also take into consideration the lighting of the room, and whether or not there are exterior windows. I have always been partial to pale yellow for training rooms. It is bright, but not too bright.
