Training is strategic and future oriented tied to organizational goal, communicated , transfered and reinforced. FULL backing of top management. Adherence to organizational culture Also, if I go thru this whats in it for me an infrequent promotion, raise ???? Or must I go after the great training elsewhere????

For the reluctant sales force - is it too late to form a team of sales members who can participate in the design of the standardized processes? Or if already designed, how about participate in focus groups? This way they can give feedback and feel like they have some control in this major change initiative. Then this can be communicated to the remaining sales force members. Helps get buy in and commitment.
As for the software training, i could write a book on it! i dont know where to start....

I absolutely agree with ShoreGirl for this one. It's perfect for TeamOJT. Easy to learn system with guaranteed results. Can be done very, very quickly - and cheaply. Would require only one-two hours per week for sales teams to meet. Guaranteed standardization of processes and employee buy in.
