Anyone know any great team building exercises for a group of one VP, 4 managers and each manager has one to two people.

How about taking them all out on one of those outdoor experiential learning things where you have to cross rope bridges and swing on zip-lines over the rubble below? Get people outside and excited and active - they'll enjoy it and they'll never forget it.

Thing is, no matter what game or activity you choose, teams become GOOD teams when each of its members has mutual respect for the others. Take for example the common scenario of the jerk manager -- that aint gonna change just because that manager helps some people over a climbing wall or helps them reach the center of a game board before the other team does. Just something to think about...

Jane,

I have a team building plan that I use for teams. It is a 90-120 minute exercise that leads participants through a series of 10 teaming experiences where they have to work together to uncover group goals, communication challenges, and create rules for working together.

It's based on their real world and their real work challenges.

If you are would like to get a copy of the outline and exercises please contact me directly.

I love seeing questions like this posted It gets me so excited because this is what I enjoy doing. What are some of your more specific goals you are trying to obtain. Teambuilding is a huge scope. With more specific goals in mind I can try and send you some more info or at least give you some good resources to go find. I personally like Laura's idea. Giving your managers a unique common experience such as different outdoor activities can do so much. I have seen some really wonderful results and high amounts of transfer working with many of these corporate groups that come through our programs.
