I have been a ISD contractor for some time. Recently I have been asked to complete additional paperwork beyond the norm. I was asked for copies of diplomas and references after an offer was made.

When references are asked for after the fact, I believe the contacts are called upon for possible sales opportunities by the recruiter.

Anyone have experience with the reference request after the fact? Should I go ahead with sharing these contacts and maybe annoying the reference with a recruiter trying to sell their company?
