Hello,
I just moved to Fort Pierce, Florida (St. Lucie County - southeast Florida) and am seeking an organization willing to allow a student to perform a needs analysis with regard to performance improvement. Do you or a friend/colleague have a potential needs analysis project in your organization? I'm a graduate student looking for a needs analysis project to fulfill a requirement in my Instructional Needs Analysis course! This request/proposal would give me as a student relevant experience and fulfill a class project, and your organization would gain volunteer hours and a usable product that could be implemented upon completion. Interested parties please contact me: IE Ries @ i_e_ries@yahoo.com Thanks! |

If I were you, I would find the nearest ASTD chapter, go to a meeting and ask there. That is probably the fastest way to find something local.
I don't know where the nearest chapter is, but you can contact ASTD on look on the chapter locator. It looks as though the nearest chapter is about sixty miles away. Is there a chapter near your school (if the school is not in Fort Pierce)? --john |

Hi John,
I'm a distance education student at George Washington University in Washington, DC and live in Florida. Thanks for the confirmation regarding local chapters...I had initially thought to do that as well, but when I looked up the nearest chapter, it's about an hour and a half drive up to Orlando or 2 hours down to Miami...so that didn't seem practical for this situation. I'll keep looking! |

Orlando has a very active chapter. Maybe you can contact the President there. They may have an electronic newsletter you can put a note in.
If that fails, I'd try the local Chamber of Commerce or the economic development organization. If the local area is too small, maybe the nearest larger city. --john |
