We are a mid-size marketing agency who will be launching a large scale digital initiative in 2008. I am looking for any recommendations/ vendors for facilitating a course focused on digital competencies, case studies, and group exercises. The focus of the course is to educated and train employees on emerging digital technologies and trends. Specifically, we want to give employees the tools to adopt and use new marketing technologies to maximum potential.

Its a bit of a new area so any feedback back would be of great help.

Could you give a couple of examples? When I read "digital competencies" I think of networking and computer technology. Then when I read "marketing technologies" I thought of Internet marketing. What exactly are you looking for?

It is actually a blend of both digital competencies and marketing technologies. As all marketing agencies are now realizing the future of the business will no longer be print, but electronic media such as the Internet and other smart devices.

We are looking to design a program to introduce employees to the new digital technologies and medium that the marketing industry will embrace in the future. Also we want to give employees the tools to embrace these new technologies through a set of established competencies (ie: adapting to change, real-time workflow & output, digital innovation).

If I were you, I would check out Rich Schefren's site. Most importantly the Attention Age Doctrine (the link is to part II, and the link to part I is on that page), but the info relating to your topic is mostly in part II. I think this is what you may be looking for.

You may want information/training on the technologies he discusses. You will learn what technologies those are in the Doctrine.
