Long time reader... first time poster here.
I have an great opportunity that my company would be very grateful for getting to do some eLearning. It would entail about a year of development, building, maintaining, etc for a client based on other projects we would be working on as well. The project could take a year to complete based on everything and would require updating after that as well. Based on this... I have a simple question. What is the going rate (hourly, daily, etc.) for eLearning development? It is a corporate client that is providing the opportunity to a few places, so we need to work for the deal and sure there will be unforeseen things but curious as to what everybody thinks is a good rate for eLearning? Thanks to all in advance! Shawn |

Hi Shawn,
Can you clarify...are you the eLearning vendor providing your services to the client or are you the client looking for an eLearning vendor? Either way, the industry average from my experience and research is approximately $100-$150/Hour. Some vendors do charge by the project. It really depends on the needs and scope of the project. Thanks! |
