Next year, I will be developing a train-the-trainer program for a national training curriculum for a national nonprofit association. I need to give my manager an estimate of how much a consultant would charge to help us develop such a program. Any ideas?

We have the Instructor Guides already developed for each course. The program would be a matter of helping SMEs get comfortable in the classroom.

Is the program going to be 1,2,3 5 or more days long? as this will impact costs.

Depending on how much material is required to be developed you can expect a consultant to charge 2 days pers delivery day... some will be more - some less..

Mid range is about $1500 per day for a competent consultant. $200-500/day for an unemployed one. $3500 to $9500/day for a national expert in high-demand.
