Anyone out there using Twitter to connect with colleagues?

I don't use twitter, but I do use linkdin.com.
It's a very good site similar to Facebook, but much more along the professional lines. Check it out. |

I was part of the ASTD TechKnowledge 2009 virtual conference last week, and a lot of people talked about Twitter. The Keynote Address on Wednesday was delivered by David Pogue, a NY Times technology columnist, who talked a lot about twittering. I ultimately signed up for an account, but not completely sure if it's that useful yet.
I also strongly recommend the use of LinkedIn. Jason S. Wrench |

Getting into it, but if you need anecdotes from a pro, check out Jane Hart:
http://janeknight.typepad.com/ She seems to have quite a following. I'll also echo the LinkedIn recommendation until I get more firsthand experience with successful Tweeting. David Glow dglow@tampabay.rr.com |

Also just just getting into it. My sense is it's fun. Still figuring out what it's good for.
