Hi all,

Does anyone have a classroom set up and technology they "love" in their classrooms? What is it and would you be willing to share?

Our classrooms are extremely out dated and we are looking to update and join the 20th century. We currently use the space to conduct multi week sessions that teach specific roles as well as soft skills, systems training, new job specific information that does not require systems training as needed. Consequently, we need flexibility. Currently we have tables pushed to the edges of a square room with permanent PCs that are hard wired to a jack (these include the old dinosaur gigantic analog monitors) and a set of tables pushed into the center of the room to form a conference table like area.

Any suggestions for what works well for you would be greatly appreciated. I'm just gathering ideas of what technology/furniture/configurations are available so I can present the plan to management that is currently wanting to upgrade. I did get approvals for flat panel monitors --woowoo!!

Here are some ideas:

Use:
-Projectors
-Smart whiteboards so you can draw digitally on
-Use flipcharts
-Put an iron strip around the room so you can hang flipchart using magnets from it.
-Use lots of colour pens
-Don't forget to allow lots of light in the room.
-Use props related to the content you want to teach.
