I'm working with a group of leaders who have differing levels of comfort with change. I've been asked to facilitate a SHORT (30-40 minute) exercise around change as part of an upcoming meeting. Everything I have is way too long! Can anyone help me with a good short exercise on change?
Thanks! |

I have a great one I use that I call "The Change Game." It deals with the different roles involved in change and how people react to change situations. It has never failed me and is particularly a great way to wrap up a training session or discussion on change. It does take a bit of prep though. Would you like me to send you the worksheets I use?

Hi Vicky,
I am new to the message board and saw your post. I use a simple exercise for change, but also knowledge transfer. I give a kaleidoscope to each participant. Let them play with it for some time. The messages are various: Change is positive Change is in your hand You need to move to initiate change You could also get kaleidoscope kits and have each participant build his/her own. Get some unique objects related to the training and put it into the kaleidoscope. I tried it several times and participants were positive about it. Include a sticker with your company name on it and it becomes also a marketing tool. Good luck Bernd |

Barb -
I would love to get a copy of your change management exercise as well. We've got a team coming together to implement major culture change, but the team members don't have a clue about change management. Thanks, Jaye jholly@aqua.org |
