I am looking for a game to teach first time supervisors basic finances. It needs to be very basic, easy, fun and cover cash flow, income statement, budgets, etc. Any suggestions?
Life... and I don't mean the milton bradley game this time. I mean pull from their life experiences. Any adult in a job knows what it means to have cash flow, budget issues, bank statements, etc.. Instead of thinking in terms of "game" -- start by thinking in terms of learning and that learning is "a never ending negotiation between new information and what you already know." What are some active ways you can take what people already know and tie it to finance in the business world? (Also - I don't think it's a huge leap to assume that a lot of these people already have some general knowledge of that too - they are supervisors in a business after all)
Just something to think about. Expand your frame (beyond "game") and I'm sure you can come up with loads of things.
Psst - people enjoy learning when they're actively involved. It doesn't have to be a "game" to be enjoyable.
