I am in the process of hiring a new Staff DEvelopment Specialist for our Agency training department. The current trainer is retiring after 30 years.
Can anyone recommend where I can find some great interview questions? Particularly behavioral interviewing? Thanks |

This is a great book on the behavioral interview process, and can assist you with formulating questions:

I can't direct you to a resource on this. However, one of the best questions to ask a trainer is to describe a programme that they have pulled together and describe it from identifying the need through to evaluating the impact. This process will provide you with a clear understanding of their thought process regarding development and also demonstrate ability.
You mentioned behaviour in your post and by using the above approach and allowing the interviewee to elaborate on their answers, you will be able to identify the behaviours and attitudes the chose throughout each step. It is more a case of asking good open questions to allow the interviewee to talk rather than developing clever questions. ---------------------------------- For training resources, training course materials, trainers notes, training courses, training games and many other free training tools, visit: http://www.trainerbubble.com . One of the best ways to find great interview questions is to see the collection of interview questions an interviewee is encouraged to practice on. You can find these in books on handling interviews.
A great source is the following: Krannich, C.R, Krannich R.L (2003) “Nail the Job interview”, Impact Publications, ISBN: 1-57023-207-5 You can also get already-prepared content for interview courses and training materials here.
