Hi. I am looking for an audio recording program that is easy to use and inexpensive. My target audience is customer service agents. I need to create audio scripts and be able to quickly record for training purposes.
Does anyone have any recomendations for audio recording programs? I have used Audacity, but it picks up every sound. Please keep in mind we do not have a large budget.
Thanks for the help.

I'm not sure what you mean by "it picks up every sound". I mean, isn't that what recording software should do?

What kind of microphone are you using?

I just tried Audacity with a little mic (came with the PC) sitting on my desk. Sounds great.

What do you want the software to do?

I agree, Audacity should do the job. You might want to change the microphone that you use.

The microphone is what picks up the sounds, not the software.

I have been trying to use Adobe Connect Pro, particularly Adobe Presenter. It is by far the worst product I have ever worked with. Full of bugs and terribly unreliable.

I look forward to trying Audacity.

I have virtually 0 budget, so I record using an Olympus handheld recorder. It has a USB port that connects to my laptop. I then play them off my laptop with separate speakers. It works for my audience and it does pick up all the sounds, but that's not a big prob.

5 yrs ago I bought a Konnexx product and that was also good. I could call agents and record them direct.
