HR wants to create training and new employee orientation videos to send to remote offices or post on the internal website so they can reduce travel time and costs. They are pretty low-tech users, nor do they have the time to try to learn how to use complicated video software. Also, they want to put whatever is on the screen (like a PowerPoint) behind them like they do on CNN. They often only have a day or two to put this together.
Can anyone here recommend an application that will work for this?
Not sure if this will do what you are looking for , but I've used Camtasia Studio by TechSmith in the past. Once you create the video, its a simple point and click for the end user.

Thank you for the quick reply. Camtasia is pretty good, as well as inexpensive, and I've seen how it can do a picture-in-picture video. But they were thinking more along the lines of the weatherman - where the speaker can interact with the content in the background. Is there something that can do that?
The "weatherman effect" is often called "green screen". This is because the person stands in front of a green screen (or cloth). (The proper name is Chromakey). The green background is then electronically replaced with the appropriate image. You can google for either green screen or chromakey software and find software to do the effect.

Thanks for the info, John. I did some more searching using combinations of the terms chromakey, green screen, and video software, but I'm still having trouble finding something that is non-technical enough for HR to use but still has good quality. Are there any specific programs I can look into that fit these needs?
