Well, there is ISO 10015. I know its international and not national, per se, but it might be of some use. I cannot afford to buy it and I don't know anyone using it.

Three responses:
1) I sure hope not, LL.
2) That does not mean there are not such things.
(witness pet rocks and certain business activities)
3) Atrributed to Grace Hopper and Andrew Tanenbaum (dunno which really said it first) "The wonderful thing about standards is that there are so many of them to choose from."

Maybe standards are not necessary, but wouldn't they go a long way toward helping the many in the profession who need some guidance but can't seem to find it here - for one reason or another?
