I have yet to see a "National Standard for Training Delivery," however, there are a lot of industry standards for training delivery (take the nuclear industry for example). Training delivery standards also exist for government training programs (military/DoD, Dept of Energy, OSHA, etc.). Standards do exist, but they are specific to the industry and application. Training and Development Good Practices also exist.

Yes - or specific to the needs of the particular company.

No need to impose over-arching rules & regs on the entire industry. We're not brain surgeons.

Are you saying any idiot can do your job?

Or that trainers are so unimportant and powerless that we can't cause harm (or do much good)?

...and it worries you that nobody listens to you?

Could it be that the people who are against professional standards and credentials are the ones that believe anyone can be a trainer?
