Hello

I seem to have used up all of my easy and quick ways to split a group up into pairs/teams during a session.

(E.G Have delegates stand in a line in birthday order (1st Jan to 31st Dec) and use that to form teams or hand round sweets and get the delegates to work with the other people who chose the same colour etc.)

Does anyone have any new ones they would be willing to share?

Thanks very much.
Lucy

If you want very temporary teams/groups, FF's suggestions are great. If I want teams to last for a longer period (a half day or more), I often do things such as:
  • Pass out cards with questions and answers and get the participants to find the corresponding match. I make these topic-related so there is some teaching or review as part of the "splitting up" process.
  • Hand out colored pens and put people with different or the same colors in a group.
  • Along FF's line: people who live nearest/farthest away, people with closer/distant birthdays
