Hello ASTD

Anyone know of a good public ethics seminar? I'm having a heck of a time googling one.

Thanks in advance

I proposed such a course to a public course vendor that is a client of mine. They have not taken me up on the offer.

PM me and we can discuss it.

What's your audience? Is it for you or for others in your company? If you cannot find a good public course, offer books on the subject. A really good book on ethics is "There is no Such Thing as Business Ethics" by John Maxwell. You could give each person a copy and have discussions based on the reading (they have discussion questions at the end of each chapter) or develop your own seminar based on what you learn in the book.

These guys run clinics around the country. Frankly, I've never been to one, but I read the institute's book and found it excellent.

Does anyone really think that ethics courses accomplish anything worthwhile? Ethics is in the same boat as trust and respect. Courses or seminars in those subjects simply do not result in even a tiny behavior change. A person who is unethical before training will be unethical after training - so why waste time and money?
