I am responsible for tracking training requirements, certifications as well as career paths for my engineers. I don't know the best way to document this information. Could anyone point me in the right direction? This is a new position in my company and I am in need of some direction from anyone who has done this before.

I would first determine the organzation most engineers in your field belong to (similar to ASTD for Trainers, ISM for Purchasing Agents, NATE for HVAC Technicians...) From there the Organization's Website should be able to help
