Hello,
I am in the process of writing a corporate training plan for 2009. Does anyone have a Sample Training Plan? |

Hi madahall -- TRDEV (a yahoo group on training and development) has been around for years and usually posts stuff like that. Also, have you done a google search?

Every corporate training plan should focus solely on THAT company's needs - not others.
P.S. Now that I have seen LL's post, I just want to add that I am surprised that any discussion group would be of help here - does this mean to imply that there are actually samples out there and that one merely has to find one to copy? Heavens! No wonder corporate training is such a mess overall. |

Kal - I'm assuming (hoping?) that madahall is hoping for something more like an outline of main things that such plan typically contains...

At the very big risk of replaying the obvious, at a 50,000 ft. level, you might consider ADDIE.
Analysis chapter - lay out performance gaps which in turn would lead to learning goals. Design what it is going to take. Include ILT, e-learning, webinars, emails, coaching, ... Develop - plan and estimate the development. Note to your managers that during Analysis the estimate for this stage is rough. At the end of Design stage, it will be much more accurate. Implementation / roll-out / deployment plans Evaluation - how are you going to be sure it worked. See references to Kirpatrick's 4 levels and the new 5th one which I forget right now. Plan for time of trainers, SMEs, graphics, video, audio, software, IT time if needed, transportation. Make sure you get the people input of the people affected - especially the sponsor. |
