Help! I was just notified that our training vendor cannot do a teambuilding session for us, so now it is up to me to come up with something. scavenger hunt, bridge build, and Puppet theatre, and the vendor program have so far been pooh-poohed by the powers that be, so I am looking for some other ideas that can get the juices flowing. Dynamics: 24 people at all levels of the organization, from 2 different office sites, and the TB goals are communication, accountability and process management. I am slotted for 2 hours to conduct the teambuilding - Addtionally, I am on a very limited budget, and I'll be the only facilitator so big props, etc... are out.
Do you mean they can't or that your company wont hire them to do it? If the former, I know many small business vendors who are expert in this who I'm sure would appreciate the business. Let me know if you'd like some contact info.
(With all due respect, there is a reason people get compensated to do this type of design and facilitation work.)
They're "Cheaping out" on me. I agree completely with you. I'm happy to spend what I can and bill them later, as it's sometimes easier to ask for forgiveness than permission!!! Most of the teambuildings I have are either an outdoors thing (not the best idea for January in New England) or props intensive. I'm creative, but I want this all to look professional, and well done on what little I have to work with. Thanks, Facilitator, for your response.
