For an upcomping computer security class I need an opener that encourages class participants to discuss course topics. Normally I open with a content-related icebraker that encourages participants to communicate with each other. Now I want an opener to encourage people to discuss topics openly in class.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but I noticed you had lots of views and no responses, so I thought I'd give it a go!

At the start of the session, advise participants that throughout the day you will be playing Poker. Each time someone contributes to a discussion you issue them with a playing card. Someone will 'win' once they collect a good poker hand. I've used this many times and it gets people more interested in contributing.

You can find the instructions for this energiser on my website...free of course.
