I've been asked to re-train pax from an earlier training 1.5 yrs ago. They want a 1-day refresher of my earlier 2-day program. If you boil down my 2-day program's key concepts, you could do a review in about 3 hrs (with skill practice to demonstrate competency). Unfortunately, since I have to travel to a different country to conduct the training, they want me there for the day to get their day's 'worth.' Any ideas on how to stretch this into 1-day while not boring them to hell. I'm thinking one idea is to make them do group presentations of key parts of the original course.

Personally I would spend the 3 hours getting the information across and then the rest of the time asking them to demonstrate how they have and will implement it. If they already did the training once they should have loads of ideas.

I'd send out the content of the program as a reading assignment. Then I'd do a quick review by having the students to a teach back on the content.

Then I'd spend the rest of the time working on practice, application and trying to take things to the next level.
