Hi! I'm doing research now about training Gen Y and think you are both correct! After reading about how UPS modified their training to fit it to their Gen Y employees, I think the main takeaway is that you should ask your participants what and how they want to learn. That's what UPS did.

Perhaps if you could provide a specific example or examples where you feel it applies, I can see where you're coming from, and I could address it more specifically.
