I'm not the one looking, but it seems that there are many 'professionals' on this board who think nothing of asking collegues to send them samples or entire training programs for free! Am I the only one out there who has a problem with this? Please help me out with a reality check.

Hmmmm. Thought one purpose of this board was to share professional info where it was not company confidential in the interest of promoting/building the profession. I have not personally shared any large content but would if it was not company/client confidential. What would you propose?

cheers,

Welcome to the age of collaboration.

I don't know why you find it unusual that professionals would actively share their content. Just look at all the open source applications available everywhere, especially in our space of learning/training/instructional design:

Audacity
Moodle
MovieMaker (free from Microsoft)
Swiff Player
FLV Player
Open Office
LectureScribe
Pixie
ColorSchemer
Paint.net

not to mention tons of Flash widgets you can get for free at Flash Exchange and other locations on the web.

So, why wouldn't we share (non-confidential and non-copy protected) freely to make the world of WLPs better?
