Need a bit of help. Does anyone have a Workplace Gossip Policy in your Employee Handbook. If so would you be willing to share the wording?

Thanks,

Jo

Isn't workplace gossip what some call informal learning? It does occur around the water cooler.

Gossip policy?

What on earth????

There are already laws that protect people against harassment and hostile work environment and discrimination.

Beyond that, there's a little thing called acting like an adult professional.

Thank you both for your response. I only ask this question as in doing some research on the subject of Gossip in the Workplace, several articles suggested that companies should have a policy in place to deal with these situations, thus the quesiton.

Would be helpful to the discussion if you could link/attach the articles in question so we could discuss them.
