A couple pointers:

1) While videos can be a great addition to a training program, always preview them - in full, for free - before purchase. This can almost always be done online. This is because a) you want to make sure they're the right fit and b) the internet is - unfortunately - increasingly filled with fake, glowing product reviews posted by the company that made the product.

2) Telephone Doctor appears to be the top producer of videos for telephone training, but they also employ a surreal amount of strategic tactics to drive all search engine traffic to them, including having multiple domains names that all redirect to their main site.

They're are a number of other videos from a variety of other producers. They are available from general distributors like www.trainingabc.com, www.business-marketing.com, and www.atsmedia.com. They are all general distributors, and have no in-house product to push, so they might be better choices. Explain your needs, and they will make recommendations.

And again, always preview the whole video, in advance, for free.

Tapes are very generic. As a result, the concepts are hard to apply in call centers were the application of skills needed to be integrated.

Have used the Telephone Doctor series for 10 years in our call center - it is a classic and still relevant today. We use it as a foundation for our new CSR training and also incorporated some of it for refresher training.
