Hi all ,
I am in the process of penning down the writing standards for Content writing for my organistaion,is there anyone who has worked on creating writing standards and processes for content writing ,if so your advice wold be appreciated.My keen interest lies in how do I start creating the writing standards for content writing ? Any suggestions? |

Let me get you started. It's more important to have standards than whether any standard is right or wrong. Pick what you like and go for it. A lot of standards revolve around style and format consider the following:
Headines (style and levels) Use of bullets Lengths of paragraphs Spacing Capitalization Emphasis (bold, italics, etc.) In actual writing consider: - Person - Tense - Reading level - Writing style (formal, informal) When you decided on standards, create several samples that illustrate what you're looking for. |

Hi ,
Thank you so much ,it;s really been a great help.Seems to that the task is huge and would require a lot of effort.Since the domain that I need to write these for is Financial services and insurance the samples that you have hyperlinked will be of great help.Are there any such sites/samples that i can browse through which are realted to writing standards for financial services? The thing is that we are implementing Instructional Designing within the organisation and writing standards are the key to getting a standardised outputs from various vendorswho create content for us hence the need to scout around and understand the global standards.Please help |
