I would appreciate if anyone has a vendor suggestion for training tracking software. My requirements would be to track training courses, certifications, costs by employee, and the ability to run reports. In addition, I am looking for an inexpensive software program. Thank you in advance.
Hi 76... you might have some luck finding some info in the E-learning forum discussions where they've discussed LMS systems quite a lot. I remember some discussion about freeware, and even something about building a simple database in Access. Good luck to you.

Check out the Elearning Guild 360 studies on LMS Systems. Moodle, a freeware option, is rating better than most vendor-based systems.
However, it truly depends on your needs and capabilities. Moodle can be extended if you need more e-commerce or reporting capability (but that is no small task). Many vendors offer these capabilities, but it may not be exactly what you need or at a cost that the ROI isn't truly worth the cost to purchase.
Feel free to reach out to chat for any specifics- been through this a few times with folks, and they key is finding the right fit.
