Hi there,

I have just finished putting together a training on dealing with difficult personality types. I was wondering if anyone has ideas of any activities they have used for a topic like this that were successful. This is going to be used as part of a TTT series, so I've related the personality types back to what they might experience in the classroom. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

In the past I have done an exercise where you write all the personality types on separate cards and hand them out to the participants who must keep their 'identity' to themselves.

You then get each person in turn to present a topic and while they are presenting, the people or person (depending how intense you want to make it) act out the difficult behaviour. It is then up to the person presenting to manage that behaviour.

Afterwards they explain what they thought the behviour/s was and why they approached it in the way they did. You then discuss methods of dealing with these behaviours.
