Okay, I need your help. We are creating a new training manual....of sorts. It is more of a kit or pack/packet because the front and back cover are pockets where additional materials will be included. This manual has everything the learner would need (from sales/presenation tips to information and instruction around how to use the software needed).
So, because it isn't your typical training manual...I don't want to call it a training manual. I was something new and creative. I have toyed with Field Guide or Survival Pack....but they aren't doing it for me. Any ideas? Have you seen any really cool or creative names for manuals before? Any help would be appreciated. I have hit my creative wall today. Mandy Smith Southwest Business Corporation |

Hi, Mandy. While it's not wildly creative, I've used "Toolkit" frequently and found people really responded to it. When I've sent project updates via email or on the Intranet, I've called those communications "Tooltime".
Good luck! Anne Bennett, Training Manager Global Payments Inc. |

Here's a few off the top of my head:
'The Hitchhikers guide to .........' (together with 'Don't panic' logo!) 'Field compendium' 'Survival Guide' 'Learning Resource' 'Development Resource' 'Guidebook' '_______ Companion' Not that inspiring, but it's early for me! ---------------------------------- For training resources, training course materials, trainers notes, training courses, training games and many other free training tools, visit: http://www.trainerbubble.com . Done everything from:
Quickstart Guide Jumpstart Guide Survival Kit Field Guide TIB- Training in a Box But actually, the best results were always produced when we asked the end users to come up with ideas. Usually, we engaged them in a short, fun, low-cost "naming contest". Not only did it produce some great options (which some submissions were used on other projects)- it got folks aware and engaged and looking forward to the product (pre-marketing). I find that most people like being asked for their input, esp. if the end result is "we heard you and hear's what we did". Not sure if that's an option given timeline and resources, but my experience is that it is definitely worth it when you have the option. David Glow dglow@tampabay.rr.com |
