I have been asked to facilitate an information sharing retreat that representatives from 3 similar companies will attend. They will discuss specific topics in small groups, report their major points to the larger group, and then I am to "wrap up" the discussion with observations, questions, etc. Given that this retreat is not intended to produce any action plans, what interesting & meaningful techniques could I use to summarize discussions so that attendees feel like they're leaving with useful information?

How about using Open Space Technology? There is even an organization that is the official site.
