We're trying to decide between Fireworks and Illustrator for our instructional designers for training development. Does anyone have an opinion on which is better? What do you like about each program for developing wbt and other types of training?

If they are just developing WBTs, then use Fireworks, or even Photoshop. Obviously, these two programs are used for editing and creating photos and graphics. I assume that you will be using Adobe Flash to build your WBTs?

Yes, that is the plan. Thanks!

For the type of work you're describing, I would also choose Fireworks over Illustrator. It's easy to use, works great with Flash, and costs less. Smiler

I use Fireworks, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Fireworks would be my "must have" program followed by Photoshop, then Illustrator. However, I don't do intense graphic design - just enough to get the point across in my WBT while keeping it professional.
