Does anyone know of any good resources on how to learn Moodle?

Moodle's website- the user community and resources are quite decent.
However, it's pretty tough to look at the content online and do the work online- so there are a few books published. They are advertised on the site, and it is noted in reviews, it's basically info you can find on the site, but the benefit is having a book open while you perform online tasks. The last option is that some of the Moodle partners (Moodlerooms, RemoteLearner, and others listed on the site) do offer training. Really depends on what type of learner your group is that will determine "goodness" of the resource, really David Glow dglow@tampabay.rr.com |

Hi
There are a lot of resources on the web now. You can buy manuals at the Moodle site http://docs.moodle.org/en/Moodle_manuals There are though some free manuals eg http://e-learn.technion.ac.il/moodle/support/moodleguide.pdf You can login and experience an example Moodle site at http://www.kineolearning.com/demo One of the issues with Moodle is how the admin functions move around in the different releases. The best way to get to know Moodle is probably to explore it for yourself. A low cost way of doing this is getting Siteground to set one up and host it for you. $5.95 a month including a domain of your choice. For professional hosting Moodlerooms are a great choice. We have designed and run over 20 moodles, so also happy to skype and talk you through our experiences if that helps. My skype is kineosteve. Good luck. |
