Hi Planto:

I am a graduate from Boise State’s MS Instructional and Performance Technology program. Boise offers the program as on-campus and as a distance program. I completed the program via distance learning. I highly recommend it!.

Earning a masters is very important and if your focused and ready to go down that road, just remember to take your time with it. Do not overload, because you never know what might happen in the future. Uncertain situations come up at anytime and anyplace. Utilizing online learning is beneficial to anyone who has a busy life as long as time is set aside. Make sure your university is accredited and eveything should flow nicely. You will find that the online professors are helpful and take in account unforseen circumstances. So...Go For it!

Oh, I hear that Capella is a great University.

Good Luck

Hi Linda,

You may or may not be checking the board for a response to your question, but I figured I'd add my two cents.

I am currently pursuing my Masters online with Capella and have found it to be very convenient. To be honest, that's really an understatement!

I am nearing the end of my program and have found the process to be worthwhile. It's my understanding that online degrees from accredited institutions are taken seriously these days.

If you don't mind working independently, can stay focused even when you don't want to, and can be fairly disciplined with your assignments...you should have no problems. I'd say it's worth pursuing. Good luck. Hope this was helpful.

I am currently involved in the Penn State Masters program. I find that they have a very respected distance learning program.

Hi Linda -- go for your degree any way you can, however -- I would get a degree in ANYTHING else that interests you, except education. I can't remember the guru who said it, but I agree with him - never major in training/education.
