Wondershare DemoCreator, easy to use and add the balloons and click zones when recording the computer screen. It's what I use now, hope it helps!

Raptivity, Wondershare, Captivate, Scate, Firefly, Demobuilder, Qarbon, Camstasia (and others I am sure I have forgotten to mention)- all do this at some level.

My recommendation is to really try these out with actual cases and see which is a best fit with your production model.

Captivate is very popular, and I feel user-friendly. However, for one particular client I had with low bandwidth constraints, it "grabbed" too much in creating sims, and stripping out components was more difficult- thus for that client, not a great fit (but I do like the product).

I have used Captivate to create a simulation of a proprietary system, including audio, text boxes, click boxes, assessment questions, etc. I would echo glowman71's caution about bandwidth -- we ended up paying to have the courses loaded onto a vendor's site, primarily due to bandwidth issues on internal employees' pc's and limitations within our own LMS.

Thanks to everyone for the other software mentioned. Good to know what else is out there.
