Depends on how your team is organized. . . If you have a pure project manager that is not going to develop, MS Project is fine and is more transferable. Excel spreadsheets usually work just as good or better, since more people have the software to do their updates. If your team works together on each project, you'll need more task tracking capabilities, whereas if each person does all the work for his/her single project, you won't need as much.
