Hello,
I'm trying to find some ways to promote my e-learning units and I wonder if you have any experience with this.
I'd be grateful if you can give some tips or any advice how to promote an e-learning investment concerning maths.
Thanks

glow... how does one promote any learning opportunity?

I would presume these units were made available because there was a need tied to performance and business goals? You could start by helping learners see that tie-in so they can start to formulate how they might benefit from the learning unit(s).

Marketing, and thats what this is whether you are trying to promote the "units" internally or externally, is a big topic. Read Join the Conversation; it will give you some great ideas.

There are so many marketing sites on the internet it boggles the mind. To begin, try to decide to whom each unit is to be marketed. Beginners, advanced, just-in-time learners? Internal, external, customers, coworkers, other company sites? Then figure out the WIIFM for each market. You can do these simple things while you research marketing in general and while you read Join the Conversation.

travelerjim is right re. WIIFM. Consider these steps.

1. Identify audiences.
2. What's in it for them to take the course? Consider "what gets rewarded, gets repeated" and "what gets measured, gets done.
3. Craft msgs that let them know courses are available and why they should take them (WIIFM).
4. Get feedback from those who take and from those who don't - Yes you are now a marketing person, not just a trainer.

e-learning as format of learning requires focused and dedicated marketing efforts. Some marketing activities that we at Aptech Learning Services (www.aptechlearningservices.com) have benefited from is through 'Thought Leadership Blog and Wiki'
