Hello,

I am interested in finding a consultant who can provide me with guidance for developing an e-Learning strategy in my company. I support the operations of 200+ retail location in the US and Canada, and need to decide the best course of action regarding LMS, LCMS, content development, tracking, etc.

I am not interested in connecting with consultants who are affilaited with specific tools or service providers, I need someone who can be impartial and objective. If you are a consultant who is interested, please let me know. If you have used a consultant in the past with great success, please let me know who you used.

Thank you.

Jeremy,

I would like to introduce you to my company Convergent Learning (http://www.convergentlearning.com). We focus on LMS (selection, implementation, administration and support) and Learning consulting. Although we provide our own hosted LMS solution, we are completely system and tool agnostic and have worked with many Learning Systems and content development tools. I would be happy to talk with you about your goals and see if we can help you reach them.

Feel free to contact me at mplocek@convergentlearning.com

Thanks,
Mike

Jeremy:

Consultants fall into three broad categories:
- Learning Content
- Learning Infrastructure Solutions
- Learning Services

If you already have a strategy set and only need to decide how best to implement it, you could pick from the Learning Infrastructure Solutions group. However, if you are needed to develop a strategy that provides a blend of e-learning, instructor lead, and knowledge management you should look for a consultant from the Learning Services group.

You may also want to consider if you want to use a consultant that also implements or one that only evaluates and recommends.

Dave

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the great info. I am looking more for implementation guidance, although that will certainly lead to a need for other development support as well.

I would like to focus on an in-house hosted and maintained solution rather than external.

If anyone has experience with infrastructure solution consultants, please let me know.

Thank you.
