You may want to have a look at the Atrixware Weblearning System ( Weblearning System Link ), as it can be hosted, can accept videos you have already created, lets author content online, and has monthly plans so its easy on the budget - it may be a match for you. As to not only mention the system from the company I work for, here is another system that I believe is reasonably priced (although it doesn't do video's as far as I know): hostedtest.com Of course, for a few thousand dollars, you may be able to get some moodle training as well. Hope this helps.

I have taken classes that use Moodle. It is great to use and the work to set up new classes is not at all difficult. You can install it quickly on your own computers or on a website (if your hosting company has moodle: many do). You do not have to spend a few thousand dollars to learn about Moodle. There are tons of free resources on the net. I'd start at YouTube. Begin with http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9XfwBzt1mYWhen I hear negative comments about Moodle, I can often replace "moodls" with the name of some other LCMS and find the same comments. The issue is generally not the platform, per se, but the way it's used (or the course content...).

Check out Simply Digi @ simplydigi.com. We've been using it for about a year now (about 900 users). It's not fancy, and there is room for improvement, but it gets the job done!
