I know a company that used Iora Learning Solutions to implement Moodle. They said it worked out well for them, quick, cheap and effective.

Seconding the notion that Moodle is by no means "free". Rather, I would recommend you partner with a hosted LMS partner to help guide you through the startup process. Beginning an e-learning program is more than just installing an LMS. How are you going to acquire content, support and maintain the LMS? Just a few of the initial obstacles.

There's nothing wrong with Moodle. But I wouldn't try to install and run it yourself. For most corporations, though, Moodle is too education-oriented compared with other off-the-shelf solutions. Depends on the objectives in your elearning plan (you have one of those, right?).

We provide these services (Solid State LMS hosting), but I was making this recommendation as a consultant prior.

Hope that helps.

I am seeing some great feedback on this site and based on this information I came across http://learningzen.com which is truly a free site if you don't have a need to keep your content private meaning anyone in the world can see and take the training modules. If you want to keep it private they have a very low cost solution and it's fully hosted for $4999 per year for unlimited user's.

Hi,

I would suggest the NetDimensions EKP. Branded "bullet proof" by Brandon Hall, the EKP is available in 3 versions to cater to requirements for organizations of any size and all budgets.

It is an industry proven solution (10 years - 600 clients use it to train their global workforce)..It offers tracking, scalability, data security , interoperability, quick implementation and dedicated support.

I am happy to walk you through the system. If this is of interest shoot me an e-mail at ankur.rimjhim@peakpacificgroup.com.

Thanks,
Ankur
