I am looking for a recommendation for an LMS that supports multiple audiences, such as:

1. Internal employees and contractors
2. Distributors
3. Retailers/Resellers
4. Customers

Each learning environment could look different, and have different versions of courses, but all tracking would tie back to a central database.
We're not looking for a big, expensive system, but rather one designed for, say, mid-market manufacturers.

Thanks for the help.

Sheldon, do a quick search of the archives. This topic seems to come up every other month.

If you have budget and IT topology information, or if there is a preference for SaaS--let us know. It will allow us to give better advice.

I didn't see anything about LMS recommendations for multiple audiences like this. I only see general requests for LMS recommendations.

If you know of a system that is in the mid-market price range and has good capabilities for managing multiple domains and audiences, I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Sheldon...

We have a solution called simpleLMS (www.simpleLMS.net) that you may want to check out. Extremely simple to set up, load courses and do your reporting. Very inexpensive, too. Try it for free, for 60 days and see what you think.

Responding specifically to your post, simpleLMS will let you visually group courses for your different learner types, but everyone sees all courses. Reporting can be based on course, group, or the entire population.

OK thanks, but I don't think that is what I am looking for. There are many LMS's that provide the functionality that you are describing (sorry). It's mainly the multiple domain and course version control that I am seeking.

Thanks
