We have recently begun using Adobe Captivate and have run into a challenge that I hope someone can help us get around.
Within the simulation we're creating, there are two points where the learners are directed to a series of screens that serve as an an on-line reference. They can page back and forth between screens until they locate the information they need. There is a live field where they enter the code for the next screen they need to navigate to. We discovered that if the participant has to page back, the live field will accept the text entry but it loses all interactivity, it won't move the user to the next screen in the sequence. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance for your help. |

Everdean,
I tested a few workarounds but they didn't work out. I would suggest submitting these types of technical issues to the Adobe Captivate Forum. There are several known issues with text entry boxes in Captivate, so you may want to consider an alternate way to deal with your participants returning to a slide with an interactive entry box. Good luck! Marty Bartreau Instructional Technologist |
