Has anyone else had any problems publishing a Captivate movie into a Flash file? We've done it and it looks great, but when we e-mail the flash file to our business partners, they can't open it (and they do have flash player on their systems).

Any suggestions?

Couple options...

Publish as an .exe file - in my experience, people rarely have problems opening executables.

Include directions that they save the file to their desktop and use Internet Explorer to open the .swf.

Hope that helps!

Send both the htm file and the swf file to them and have them save both files locally (on C drive or on Desktop). Have them launch the htm file.

We had a similar problem and this worked. Good luck.

Beth,
I just came across another idea to publish the file, then attach to your email, changing the extension to .txt or something. Instruct the recipient to change the extension back to what it should be before they launch or open it on their end. Hope that helps!

I always upload this flash file to our website or ftp, so our partners can view them online or download from our website. I think maybe by this way could prevent that problem. Hope it helps!
