We are considering the Oracle LMS as a solution to managing our company training. We have a very large organization, and the current LMS we are using is not sufficient. Has anyone used or heard anything about the Oracle system?
Do you mean the PeopleSoft ELM product, or Oracle iLearning? I've been more involved with the PeopleSoft system, which seems to be the superior product, from what I have seen.
What else are you considering? What criteria are you using to decide?
LMS selection is one of my specialties (in fact, gave a presentation on LMS Selection at the eLearning Guild's conference last year), and I would be glad to help.
First I agree with Sheldon, are you referring to Oracle I-Learn or the PeopleSoft ELM? However, what I know of ELM is that it is a ood "travking tool" but does not have the kind of functionality of the current LMS's. In fact I would hesitate to call it a LMS. But as a training tracking tool it is good. Expensive, but good. Happy to sahre additionalinfo if you believe it may help.. emal me at scase20@juno.com and I will gve you what I have. and unqualified evaluation of current LMS's, and a list of LMS features and functionalities.. steve
We will be using Lectora to create the online courses, and we will be using Oracle to track. I heard it has very robust features. What have you heard about the tracking system?
