I'm not sure how copy/paste is connected to printing of E-Learning, but a few years ago, the user annoyance with one particular E-Learning system was that you could not print out anything.

Nor could you copy and paste it into a word to print and read later at home. Print and copy/paste was blocked by the technology.

Most users didn't have the time to spend during work hours to click through all pages, and there was absolutely no way to take information away with you.

If you weren't in front of a computer and couldn't remember the info you sped through when you last had a spare minute - tough luck!

I remember employees were highly critical of it. If protecting intellectual property is a matter though, I'm not sure what other options there are...
