If you would like send me a description of what you are trying to accomplish, That is your needs and wants and I would be happy to comment in greater detail. Connect is a good tool for doing live web-based training (but there are a couple hundred such tools and I find many to be less "heavy" than connect, but certainly connect is quite function) Captivate is a great tool for creating eLearning modules especiialy rapid for going from PowerPoint ILT to eLaerning. However there are a dozen or so such tools and each have thier advantages. But I would wonder are you going to tie in an LMS? If you have one then you need to amke sure it will work with these tools. If you do not, then you might want to look at some of the LMS's that have authoring built in. That may be an advantage. Again I would be happy to share more details of my opinions if you want to send your needs/wants to me at scase20@juno.com. steve

Agree with Steve's comments-- a little more detail would help clarify your goals and would make our answers to you more helpful/relevant. Are you looking to create a self-help portal with FAQs for the software programs with demos or looking to capture online training modules on the programs? I did use a previous version of RoboHelp and Captivate (RoboDemo at the time) to create a knowledge base of FAQs on MS Office and other firm specific applications. At the time I used it RoboHelp didn't provide any tracking information as an LMS would (who looked at what question, etc.) Good luck!
