Amen on that. That's my perception of what happens also, and it seems to happen on other forums. Perhaps it's just the nature of the beast and who forums attracts as high participants. Or maybe not.

Since I mentioned analysis in my post, let me clarify. The analysis I'm talking about is the upfront analysis that has to be done in course DESIGN work - not what LMS or other system you are considering purchasing, not what software you are considering, not converting PowerPoint to e-learning, etc. I assumed that in the training world, "analysis" usually means the analysis phase of instructional design. Otherwise, there's no limit to the use of the word, because literally anything can be analyzed. Personally, I have little interest in the LMS type posts - least of all whether or not someone has "analyzed" the situation to death. I agree with you on that - it's just immaterial. But it does matter in course design.
